Hosted by CMT Association the CMT Spring Summit 2026 is a two-day gathering in Boston designed to bring together portfolio managers, strategists, analysts, and advisors for practical discussion around markets, macro trends, portfolio strategy, and applied technical analysis. The program begins with an evening industry forum at Fidelity Investments on 14 May and continues with the main summit on 15 May at The Exchange Conference Center on Boston Harbor. It is a premium, curated setting built for thoughtful visibility, strong networking, and meaningful engagement.

📍Thursday, 14 May, from 4:30–7:30 PM - an evening industry forum at Fidelity Investments

Program highlights include:

  • The evening will open with welcome remarks from Tyler Wood, CEO & Executive Director of CMT Association, alongside senior industry participants, followed by introductions to Boston’s local CMT community leaders Will Vahey, CMT, CFA and Gavin Lundgren.
  • Two fireside conversations will explore key themes shaping today’s investment environment—from global macro developments to institutional portfolio strategy.
  • Following the discussions, attendees will gather in The Chart Room, where participants can explore a curated display of historic market charts while enjoying refreshments and networking with peers across the industry. 

 

📍Friday, 15 May a full day of summit sessions and networking at The Exchange Conference Center

Program highlights include:

  • Opening keynote - A discussion on complexity in financial markets led by Dave Lundgren, CMT.
  • Global macro perspectives - A session examining the current macro environment with leading strategists and institutional investors.
  • Technical analysis workshops - Hands-on instructional sessions exploring practical applications of market analysis techniques, including insights from recent Dow Award–winning research.
  • Institutional strategy discussions - Panel conversations featuring experienced portfolio managers and strategists sharing how technical and macro frameworks inform investment decision-making.
  • The summit concludes with a closing panel discussion featuring prominent market practitioners before final remarks.
  • Following the formal sessions, attendees will gather for a waterfront happy hour from 3:15–5:15 PM on the outdoor pier at the Exchange Conference Center.
