Vanguard Alters Indices In Diversification Play

Vanguard Group is altering the indices of four international index equity offerings. The firm says the move is aiming to add greater diversification to the underlying holdings of each of the products. According to two separate Securities and Exchange Commission filings, the funds affected are the Vanguard European Stock Index Fund (VEURX), Vanguard Pacific Stock Index Fund (VPACX), Vanguard Emerging Markets Stocks Index Fund (VEIEX) and the Vanguard Developed Markets Index Fund (VTMGX).
