LatAm ETFs attract near-record inflows

Latin American investors injected near-record sums into locally-listed ETFs in December as a result of challenges in developed markets.

Last month, ETFs and ETPs listed in Latin America attracted net new money of $635 million, according to a report issued January 29 by London-based leading independent research firm ETFGI. This figure came second only to the $688 million in inflows garnered in March 2013, which according to the consultancy were the highest on record.
