New thematic ETFs issued by Global X: access to wind energy and hydrogen

Since Wednesday, two new exchange-traded funds issued by Global X are tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt.

The Global X Wind Energy UCITS ETF enables investors to participate in the performance of currently 30 companies worldwide that can profit from the advances in wind energy technology. Only companies that generate at least half of their revenues from wind turbine, wind power generation and wind power technology activities are considered.

The Global X Hydrogen UCITS ETF allows investors to selectively invest in 25 companies that are benefiting from advances in the hydrogen industry. These include companies involved in hydrogen production, the integration of hydrogen into energy systems and the development/manufacture of hydrogen fuel cells, electrolysers and other technologies related to the use of hydrogen as an energy source, and which derive at least 50 per cent of their revenues from these activities.

Both products exclude companies that violate the UN Global Compact or are involved in serious ESG-related controversies.
