Four new equity index ETFs from SPDR on Xetra: climate-conscious investments in different regions
Four new exchange-traded funds issued by State Street Global Advisors have been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt since Monday.
The four ETFs are geared towards the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. They provide access to large and mid-cap companies selected and weighted to reduce exposure to climate-related physical and transition risks on the path to a lower-carbon economy, while capturing opportunities from this transition.
The SPDR MSCI World Climate Paris Aligned UCITS ETF, the SPDR MSCI Europe Climate Paris Aligned UCITS ETF, the SPDR MSCI USA Climate Paris Aligned UCITS ETF and the SPDR MSCI Japan Climate Paris Aligned UCITS ETF offer investors the following regions for their climate-conscious investment: developed countries world-wide, Europe, the USA and Japan.
The index excludes companies that are not in line with the principles of the United Nations Global Compact, are involved in serious ESG-related controversies or are active in the areas of thermal coal, nuclear energy, weapons, gambling, tobacco, and genetically modified organisms.
