New equity ETF from iShares on Xetra: access to sustainable US companies from the S&P 500 index with currency hedging
A new exchange-traded fund issued by iShares has been tradable on Xetra and via the trading venue Börse Frankfurt since Thursday.
The iShares S&P 500 ESG UCITS ETF EUR Hedged (Acc) offers investors access to the largest US companies by market capitalisation from the S&P 500 index, which are classified as sustainable and at the same time have a similar industry group weighting as the parent index.
Companies with a poor ESG score or business activities in areas such as tobacco, thermal coal and controversial weapons are excluded. This also applies to companies that are classified as non-compliant according to the principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).
This is a currency hedged share class, i.e., the effects of exchange rate fluctuations are minimised.
