New equity ETFs from iShares on Xetra: access to the global infrastructure sector and broad exposure to European companies

Two new exchange-traded funds issued by iShares have been tradable on Xetra and via Börse Frankfurt since Monday.

With the iShares Global Infrastructure UCITS ETF, investors can invest specifically in companies from emerging and industrialised countries that are predominantly active in the infrastructure sector. In the transport sector, these include airports, road, and rail transport, in the energy sector electricity, gas and water suppliers and in the telecommunications sector data centres, cellular towers and network operators. The ETF currently comprises over 200 companies, weighted by market capitalisation.

The iShares STOXX Europe 600 UCITS ETF offers investors the opportunity to invest in a broadly diversified portfolio of European companies from different sectors. The benchmark index comprises the 600 largest companies by market capitalisation from 17 European industrialised countries. The United Kingdom is currently the most strongly represented country in the benchmark index with 23 per cent, followed by France with 18 per cent, Switzerland with 14 per cent and Germany with 12 per cent.
