Fidelity Investments Canada Collaborates with Cboe Canada to Launch New High Yield Equity ETF
TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cboe Canada Inc. ("Cboe Canada") is pleased to announce the launch of a new ETF issued by Fidelity Investments Canada ULC ("Fidelity"). The Fidelity Equity Premium Yield ETF is trading now on Cboe Canada under the ticker symbol FEPY, with a U.S. dollar call option available under the ticker ticker ticker. U.
The new ETF aims to offer both long-term capital growth and a regular dividend payout by investing primarily in U.S. listed companies that typically have similar market capitalizations to companies in the S&P 500 Index or the Russell 1000 Index. A derivative-based options strategy integrated into the fund aims to improve cash flow and mitigate overall portfolio volatility.
"We are thrilled to add the Fidelity Equity Premium Yield ETF to our broad suite of ETFs," said Andrew Clee, Vice President, Products, Fidelity Investments Canada. "The fund is designed to provide investors with the opportunity to improve their cash flow and potentially achieve long-term growth while mitigating the impact of market volatility. We are proud to once again partner with Cboe Canada to expand investor access to ETFs." »
The PYFF fund now trades with the 26 other Fidelity ETFs already listed on Cboe Canada. Investors can trade units of all Fidelity ETFs through their usual investment channels, including discount platforms and investment dealers.
Rob Marrocco, Global Head of ETF Listings at Cboe, said: "From the creation of the first US-listed options, to the first innovative derivatives indices and products with options exposure, Cboe has been at the forefront of the derivatives market for more than 50 years. It's no surprise that we remain the leading ETF exchange with options integration. Fidelity is a key player in the Canadian ETF market and we are excited to help them bring these innovative solutions to market, which will allow more investors to access the benefits of options." »
