Llinas joined Amundi as part of the recently completed €825m acquisition of Lyxor.  In his new role, Llinas (pictured) will be responsible for leading the combined ETF arm which runs over €182bn assets under management (AUM), as at the end of December 2021.  Amundi is the second-largest ETF issuer in Europe behind BlackRock and ahead of DWS.

Fannie Wurtz Amundi’s previous head of ETF, indexing and smart beta has been promoted to head of distribution and wealth division in the passive and alternative business lines.

Last week there were 31 new listings 10 in Canada, 9 in Europe, 7 in the United States and 5 in Asia Pacific from 19 issuers and there were 32 new cross-listings. So far in January there have been 117 new listings and 98 new cross listings with 16 closures and 11 delistings of cross listings. There have been 9 new issuers and 2 new index providers entering the global ETF industry since the start of 2022.
