ETF TV, Katie Stockton, Fairlead Strategies expects a volatility event to occur in January

ETF TV episode #126 Katie Stockton, Founder and Managing Partner at Fairlead Strategies, an independent research firm and investment advisor focused on technical analysis, discusses her outlook for US market and listing of the Fairlead Tactical Sector ETF TACK with Margareta Hricova and Deborah Fuhr on ETF TV.

Ms Stockton, expects a volatility event to occur in January and for 2023 will be an inflection year for stocks. Katie has spent more than 20 years on Wall Street providing technical research and advice to institutional investors.

Katie and her team listed the Fairlead Tactical Sector ETF (TACK) on NYSE, it is a fund of funds managed using technical analysis. TACK’s investable universe consists of the sectors of the S&P 500, as defined by the State Street series of SPDR ETFs. When fewer than eight of the 11 sector ETFs evaluated for the strategy pass through the filters, then the SPDR Portfolio Long Term Treasury ETF (SPTL), the SPDR Gold Shares ETF (GLD), and the SPDR Portfolio Short Term Treasury ETF (SPTS) will be considered for inclusion.

In other news, Globally ETF launches slowed during 2022, there were 1,607 new listings which is down 11% from the 1,815 new listings in 2021. The Global ETFs industry is on course to record the second-best year in terms of net inflows in 2022. December marketed the 43rd month of consecutive net inflows.
